Mr. Kim joined Kane, Ballmer & Berkman in February 2007. He handles transactional and litigation matters in redevelopment law and the law of real estate development.
Mr. Kim began his legal career as an in-house counsel for a privately held corporation and continued to expand his legal experience as a Transactional and Litigation Attorney in drafting and negotiating contracts, forming and managing business entities, providing general counsel services, and handling litigation matters.
Mr. Kim is active in the California Redevelopment Association, San Fernando Valley Bar Association and Ventura County Asian American Bar Association. He has been elected as a Board of Director for Ventura County Asian American Bar Association in 2007.
While in law school, Mr. Kim was a scholarship recipient, awarded with a Certificate of Merit for Contracts and honored as a Dean’s List recipient. Also, while in law school, Mr. Kim was a judicial extern for Los Angeles County Superior Court Supervising Judge Harvey A. Schneider and judicial intern for California Court of Appeal Justice Pro Tem Harvey A. Schneider. Mr. Kim received his undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Arts in Classical Civilization and History) from University of California at Los Angeles, his graduate degree (Master of Arts in Roman Myth and History) from University of Exeter in England, his other graduate degree (Master of Business Administration in International Management) from University of London, Royal Holloway in England and his Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University of School of Law.
