Ms. Brown joined Kane, Ballmer & Berkman as an associate in May, 2005 and handles transactional and litigation matters in redevelopment law, real estate development, affordable housing, municipal law and eminent domain. Ms. Brown also negotiates and reviews exclusive negotiation agreements, disposition and development agreements, owner participation agreements and purchase and sale agreements.
Prior to joining Kane, Ballmer & Berkman, Ms. Brown served as a law clerk for the Oakland City Attorney’s Office where she focused on a wide variety of public law matters. During this period, Ms. Brown assisted Deputy City Attorneys and City staff with issues concerning redevelopment, the Brown Act, Public Records Act, the First Amendment and Agency Law. During law school, Ms. Brown was a clerk with the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office in the Real Estate and Finance Department.
